Cristina Frolov

President, Constantin Mimi Foundation
Cristina Frolov is a Moldovan entrepreneur, cultural innovator, and President of the Constantin Mimi Foundation. Through her leadership at Castel Mimi Wine Resort, she has transformed a historic 19th-century winery into one of Eastern Europe’s most admired destinations — blending heritage restoration, fine hospitality, and sustainable tourism.

Under her vision, Castel Mimi has become a catalyst for regional economic revival, attracting thousands of visitors and creating a new market for experiential and conscious tourism in Moldova. Cristina has designed immersive customer journeys that connect guests with local culture, gastronomy, wine and craftsmanship, while strengthening community identity and pride.

Through the Constantin Mimi Foundation, she expands this impact by developing regional cultural trails, reforestation projects, and educational programs that empower local entrepreneurs, women, and youth. Her initiatives promote environmental restoration, heritage conservation, and rural prosperity, aligning with EU sustainable development priorities.

Cristina’s leadership was internationally recognized when Castel Mimi hosted the European Political Community Summit (2023) and was awarded “Best European Wine Event” (VinOPERA, Iter Vitis Award 2022). She was also decorated with the Order of Cultural Merit, Knight Grade, by the President of Romania, for her contribution to promoting cultural diplomacy and Moldovan heritage.

Driven by her passion for social innovation and regenerative development, Cristina envisions central Moldova as a living ecosystem of responsible tourism, where nature, heritage, and creativity thrive together.
