Editorial Launch at INVEST Summit 2025:
Mic Compendiu Hotelier, a New Reference Point for Hospitality Investors

On 19 November, during the INVEST Summit 2025, the book Mic Compendiu Hotelier will be officially launched. The volume is authored by Prof. Dr. Ray F. Iunius, a Swiss-based university professor, international expert in hospitality strategy, and CEO of the winsed.swiss education and consulting group.

The book brings to Romania an applied and structured perspective on hotel investments, presented in an accessible format. It starts from a fundamental question: “Why invest in hotels?” and offers answers grounded in practical experience, critical observation, and a deep understanding of the hospitality ecosystem.

The guide addresses entrepreneurs aiming to develop resorts with a clear identity, real estate investors seeking diversification, consultants and architects involved in hotel projects, lawyers, managers, students, academics, and decision-makers who influence the evolution of tourism in Romania and the region.

Mic Compendiu Hotelier follows the logic of a business plan. Readers are guided step by step through the stages of developing a hotel project, gaining a realistic view of how the industry works and avoiding common mistakes that often stem from emotional or incomplete approaches to this complex field.

The volume explores essential topics such as investment performance and stability, how hotel assets differ from other real estate classes, the current dynamics of the Romanian hotel market, and the role of brand equity and social impact in investment decisions. A dedicated chapter examines the presence of major international hotel brands in Romania and outlines the operational, franchise, and management models that shape the local market.
